ACTIVITIES
The
Institute undertakes the following activities for achieving the three
objectives presented above
Advancement of Composites Technology

Organise
seminars / CONFERENCES FOR PROPAGATING TECHNOLOGY
|

Seminars,
conferences and exhibitions are to be organised either independently or
in collaboration with other professional
bodies/organizations to propagate the technology and its
applications
|
|
Build a databank on Technical Literature,
Material data, Sourcing data and Product and Machinery
data which can serve as a ready source of
information.
|
|
Develop voluntary standards
for various FRP/COMPOSITE Products, raw materials and
processes. The FRP and user industries will be
encouraged and advised to follow these voluntary
standards wherever such standards are not formulated by
statutory standards
organizations.

COLLABORATION WITH
OTHER
AGENCIES
/ ORGANISATIONS

Collaborate with
other agencies, professional societies and institutions both in
India and abroad for promoting closer interaction with a view to
develop composites technology and promote its applications.

Formulate standards
in collaboration
with the Standards Organizations for FRP/COMPOSITE
Products and their raw
materials.

institutions and other agencies and is intended to teach how to

raw materials required for setting up new industries.

information service through Internet highlighting the

Take up certification of
Composites Products and raw materials on the basis of
Voluntary Codes of Practices drawn up by the
Institute.
